School of Agricultural Sciences
The School of Agricultural Sciences (CCA) at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) was established in 1975 with the creation of the Agriculture degree program. It comprises five departments and offers four undergraduate and four graduate programs, standing out for its teaching, research, and outreach in Agricultural Sciences.
Its strategic areas include Agroecology, One Health, Mariculture, Food Quality, Biodiversity Conservation, and Biotechnology. The graduate programs, recognized both nationally and internationally, focus on research topics such as environmental conservation, agroecological production, sustainable rural development, genetics and plant breeding, aquaculture health, management and conservation of agricultural and aquatic ecosystems, and development of new food products.
CCA is consolidated as a center of excellence in scientific innovation, with a strong commitment to sustainable development.
